Titanium club heads are more expensive but the club heads are usually larger and lighter, while steel is heavier. Beginning golfers may want lighter materials.

When you’re choosing your driver, shorter is better. Many of the drivers being purchased now are 45”. The average length on the PGA tour is 44.5”; the longer the club, the harder it is to hit with accuracy. Take a cue from the pros and try a shorter driver.
When you are looking at used clubs, make sure the grips are not worn on the handles. If they are, you can replace them with similar grips to ensure consistency with your shots. Also, check the club faces for wear. If there is too much they won’t grip the ball correctly.
